About the Role
We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join us at Electric Manta as a hypercasual Games Programmer for our start-up mobile games studio. This role will be working closely with the Technical Director to help set up our hypercasual game development pipeline and create chart topping mobile games.
Your coding skills are legendary, you are lightning fast at developing fun gameplay. You are a proven mobile developer talent with great organizational and creative skills. You are an impact person and that will clearly shine through in the quality and timely execution of the games you help create.
What’s the Role
Work within a highly skilled team and individually on hypercasual games and prototypes
Code to a high quality whilst conforming to best practices
Prototype game ideas and mechanics efficiently for testing purposes understanding where to make the best use of your time
Evaluate design documents and break down into tasks with estimates.
Create and maintain editor tools where required to help with game development
Contribute towards our core to share common frameworks between games
Keep up to date with current market trends
Requirements
Professional hypercasual experience or a personal hypercasual portfolio is a must.
Market knowledge of current trends and a deep understanding of hypercasual
3+ years of professional programming experience
Experience developing games in Unity/C#
Understands programming design patterns and how to use them
Familiar with optimization issues and tools
Excellent communication skills
Excellent sense of gameplay experience, and special attention to details
Follows new technology and market trends
Analytical mindset and data-oriented
Ability to solve complex technical problems
Excellent teamwork skills
