About the Role

Who We are After

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join us at Electric Manta as a UI Designer for our start-up studio and mobile free-to-play projects. This role will work closely with the Art Director to help define the look , feel, and assets for the user interaction and experience of our chart-topping mobile games.

What’s the Role

  • Work within a highly skilled team and individually on key internal games and prototypes

  • Produce detailed wireframes of UX for mobile games

  • Produce the necessary assets for the UI

  • Work with the studio Art Director to help define the look and feel of our games

  • Prepare and pitch work to internal teams

  • Work with Creative Director and Game Designers to understand the feel of the game

  • Support our engineers by ensuring UI best practices are followed

  • Give and receive feedback to iterate and improve art work until it is signed off on

  • Help establish brand and adhere to style standards

  • Understanding where to make the best use of your time

  • Evaluate design documents and break down into tasks with estimates

  • Contribute towards our core to share common frameworks between games

  • Keep up to date with the mobile game market trends and new technologies

  • Share your knowledge with leadership and other team members and help mature our solution discovery & design practices


  • A portfolio of your work is required for applying and interviewing for this role

  • Proven experience working on two successful mobile/F2P projects (in last 5 years)

  • At least five years working as a UI designer as part of a software development team with experience in requirements gathering, wireframing, process flow diagramming, and creating and testing with interactive prototypes

  • Experience delivering design artifacts using a variety of wireframing, prototyping, and other design tools (Sketch, InVision, Adobe, Zeplin, User Brain, Balsamiq, etc.) Excellent communication skills

  • Unity knowledge

  • Good sense of gameplay experience, and special attention to details

  • Follows new technology/art trends and loves learning new things

  • Excellent teamwork skills
